These two rice bowls were the only pieces that made it out alive when in my first try at making a commission set of two rice bowls, two ramen bowls, and two larger serving bowls ^_^ I had to restart the larger bowls after the last stage (insert crying emoji here!).
Imagine you've carefully taken care of the pieces through the throwing stage, trimming stage, bisque fire stage, glazing stage and then your pieces come out with a crack or chip after the final firing stage. All of this work happening over the span of 4-5 weeks. Lots of patience and perseverance exercised in the craft of pottery.
