I bought a couple bags of a clay I haven't used often called Death Valley, but I have always admired its burnt brick red colors. To test out how some of the glazes at Echo would behave on this clay body, I dipped and hand-poured 6 different glazes on this bowl ^_^
I was most surprised that while the sandy's green turned orange on its own, it turned back to looking like sandy's green when rutile pink was layered over it.
This is another piece that I imagine each person sees a different scene or experiences different feelings when looking at this bowl because of its dynamic variation of colors, textures, and movement.
