I thought this was a bowl made with Soldate 60 clay, which is a sand-colored gray-ish clay. I was surprised when it came out a burnt red clay. This bowl was made three years before it was glazed because I was using it as a "hump mold". The glaze profile that results here is similar to what you see in Bowl #51. Maybe then this bowl was also made with fat red clay.
