Shino glaze is one of the most mysterious glazes because it has a wide variety of outcomes depending on the thickness of the glaze, the clay body, and even the way the fire/heat flows around the piece.
Here I dipped shino glaze across about 2/3 of the bowl and then million $ yellow on the other end about 1/4 of the way towards the shino until about a 1 inch raw strip of clay was left between them. Even though the shino glaze was done in one dip, it looks like two different glazes inside the bowl versus outside the bowl. On the other hand, the million $ yellow glaze looks pretty consistent on the outside compared to the inside of the bowl.
Firing: Reduction high fire
