about bowlS 61-64

This is one of the most difficult glaze effects I've worked on recreating. It's unclear why it works when it works and why it doesn't work when it doesn't work. When it does work like the bowl seen in the first few photos, I get a deep burgundy color with flashes of neon blue and the creamy crystallization effects between the glossy and matte glaze.

The bowls with the deep burgundy were fired in reduction, and the bowls without the deep burgundy were fired in oxidation.

Firing: Reduction and oxidation high fire

Clay: KGBS

Made with glazes at Echo Ceramics
