about bowl 109

Taping and wax resisting created the landscape of cacti and moons here around this bowl. This is done before dipping the bowl into glaze. I intentionally dipped the rutile pink glaze that creates the pink and purple shades to begin at the smallest crescent moon because the night sky is darkest when the moon is a smaller crescent ^_^

Firing: Reduction high fire

Clay: Death Valley

Made with glazes at Echo studio
